On Historians' Fallacie

Fischer, David Hackett. Historians' Fallacie: Toward a Logic of Historical Thought. New York: Harper & Row, 1970. pp. 338. Paperback.

I’m pleased to see that the most important historical practice is not listed as a fallacy in this text. Of course, by “most important historical practice” I mean “making shit up as you go.” As we all know, there is no such thing as good history, only made-up facts. To me, the way I write history is to always make shit up and hope that I don’t get called out on it, and it appears that I haven’t violated any historians’ fallacies. Praise God for that.
