On an Introduction to Poetry

I worked my way through the first, 1966, edition of this book (which I sadly can’t find here on Goodreads). While I’m sure more recent editions are much better than this, I have to say that I liked Art of Poetry Writing a bit more—it seemed to have more life to it. The good thing about Kennedy’s book, on the other hand, is the inclusion of many more poems with exercises attached to them, as well as a nice anthology in the back of the text.
