On Kenobi
Miller, John Jackson. Kenobi. Del Rey, 2013. pp. 380. Cloth.
This was a pretty decent story, although nowhere near a favorite. For the most part, it was a very run-of-the-mill Western with a Star Wars cast and setting. I wasn’t so fond of the perspective—changing perspective in the third-person is something that feels uncomfortable to me. Both first-person and third-person limited are much better, but I see why Miller made that decision. It’s a shame that this is no longer canon, and I hope that the upcoming Kenobi series draws upon this for source material.
