On How to Finish Your Dissertation in Six Months, Even if You Don't Know What to Write

1. Don’t break the chain. Keep track of your writing habit on a calendar. You won’t want to miss a day because you lose the consecutive chain.
2. Make it impossible not to write every day. If you start early in the morning, you’ll have a lot of energy, even if you’re a night own. Writing later in the day makes it easier to justify not doing it.
3. Write even if you don’t know your thesis statement. You do a lot of thinking when you write, and the act of writing will do the rest of your work for you.
4. Get friends to help you finish your dissertation. Having accountability partners goes a long way for completing a big project.
