Very interesting, albeit dense, and multidisciplinary study of the Tunisian peasantry before the establishment of the Protectorate. I found the sections on food and the rhythms of daily life. The first section is deeply anthropological, and the last is a bit more economic. I’ll have to revisit this one down the line, but I recommend it.
