On the Martian
Weir, Andy. The Martian. New York: Crown Publishers, 2014. pp. 369. Cloth.
I really loved this one. I have to admit, some of the science went over my head and I don’t think it’s actually that plausible of a story, but Weir managed to keep me hooked. The biggest weakness in the novel is probably the dialogue, which sometimes feels forced. Nevertheless, turning a manned mission to Mars into a survival novel was a great idea, and Weir executed it rather well.
