This record is so much fun! As is the case with many others, the first song that I heard here is “What’s Up?” It became a meme during my early period as an internet user.
The album here is so upbeat and powerful. Apparently, it’s the only album ever produced by 4 Non Blondes, and–since they split in 1994–they have only come together for a few concerts again in 2014 and earlier this year (2025). It’s a serious shame, because the guitar solos and baselines here are incredible, and the vocals add all kinds of texture.
If I could listen to more by 4 Non Blondes, I would. As it stands, I’ll have to be content with this album.
