This is the OG of sad girl jams: I tend to put Mitski in the same category as Clairo and–potentially–Lana Del Rey, for better or worse. But, Mitski sounds totally different than the other two, they seem to be a broad constellation.
Honestly, this record wasn’t for me. “Francis Forever” is a classic, but the rest of the album didn’t really do it for me.
