Album cover for Idealism

Digitalism’s debut album, Idealism, was one that I had on repeat when I was in middle school. I loved the harsher, electronic tones here, and there were a few standout tracks, “Pogo” being the one that I remember best.

Listening to the album now, I’m also impressed by “I Want I Want” and “Apollo-Gize.”

Unfortunately, the album seems to be a product of its time. I’m not sure that many people would turn to Idealism today, other than out of a sense of nostalgia or an intense interest in their genre. It’s too bad, because it’s a good album.
