After All We Know is Falling, Riot! was my second Paramore album. This record goes much harder than Paramore’s début. Even though it remains thematically in the real of mid-oughts teenage emo, you can really feel the group maturing a bit here. It’s slightly less mainstream for the cultural moment, and it’s a great album to listen to in observing their developing trajectory.
The three big singles here, “Misery Business,” “That’s What You Get,” and “crushcrushcrush” are my favorites. The hipster in me says that this shows an unrefined taste, but I actually shamelessly love them.
